About the Association of Alberta Agricultural Fieldmen

tractor.jpgAgricultural Fieldmen have always been central to the success of Agricultural Service Boards. They develop, implement, and control programs designed to carry out priorities and policies set by their Agricultural Service Board.

While education and awareness are key tools Fieldmen use in their work, they are also appointed as inspectors or regulatory officers enforcing these Alberta statutes.

AIPC - The Invader - Summer 2010

In this issue...

Summer is fast slipping away and becoming "history" for another year! Trust it has been a productive year for everyone on the frontlines of weed management and control. We continue to promote the Weed Wise Gardening brochure and facilitating regional weed meetings.

This issue of The Invader carries lots of information on what has been happening in Alberta, including the new Alberta Weed Control Act being proclaimed and new weeds being discovered in the province. Also contains information on the national media attention given to Giant Hogweed as a result of the Media Release issued by the National Invasive Alien Species Working Group.

AIPC is "growing up" as a resource for media. Expect good things to continue to happen for the future.

Enjoy the rest of summer, be back to you again in the fall.
